Why: Thank you for browsing Troop 132's Annual Spring Flower Fundraiser! Fundraising is crucial to our Troop's success in creating a meaningful program, packed with adventure, and complete with leadership and service opportunities. By supporting our Troop fundraiser you are directly contributing to a Scout's personal activity account, helping them access amazing, character-building adventures that are both physically challenging and incredibly rewarding. Some of our favorite experiences have included kayaking, biking, and spelunking - but many of our Scouts agree that the annual highlight is a week-long Summer Camp at Owasippe Scout Reservation in Twin Lake, MI. In addition to supporting individual Scouts' personal expenses, a portion of fundraising proceeds goes toward Troop operational expenses like licensing/maintenance of our Troop trailer and materials for rank advancement activities.


Who: Troop 132 is proudly sponsored by VFW Post 981 in Arlington Heights, Illinois. We welcome all middle school and high school-aged youth (11-17) with a desire to challenge themselves in a "fun-based" environment! Our Troop is Scout-led (with parental support and participation), holds regular Troop meetings on Wednesday nights, and strives to maintain a strong outdoor program by planning and carrying out at least one outdoor outing each month. Goals of our program include empowering youth to strengthen leadership skills, develop independence and personal responsibility, and build a sense of community and citizenship.
